TIC General Body Meeting Updates

Dear Respected Community Member,

Asalaam-olaykum,

Alhumdullilah! Last evening during Tracy Islamic Center’s General Body Meeting (GBM) with the required quorum, we have adopted the revised TIC Bylaws with following vote tally:

Total votes cast: 31
Approve: 29
Reject: 2

Based on the newly adopted TIC Bylaws, first the TIC Board of Trustees (BOT) will be established and updates will be provided to the TIC members soon.

Based on a suggestion during this meeting, TIC Board of Directors will seek to audit TIC financial system by a CPA.

TIC School:

Prior to the General Body Meeting, TIC School students showed their Islamic knowledge, and also demonstrated how to hold our daily prayers. All community members were very pleased with performance of TIC school students; here we would like to appreciate the efforts by our respected Imam Sheikh Basem.

Community Dinner:

After Maghrib prayer we had a community dinner. We would like to say Thanks to all those families for sponsoring the dinner and especially to our sisters who prepared such a delicious & ample food for all the community members.

We pray Allah (SWT) to give us strength and help us to build an urgently needed Masjid in Tracy.
