Tracy Islamic Center expresses its deepest condolences that the Mother of Brother Ayub Ahsan has passed away today in Pakistan.

May Allah (SWT) The Most Merciful have mercy on her soul, forgive her short comings and accept her prayers and good deeds. Grant peace and Noor in her grave, grant her the best of the Jannah (Jannat al-Firdaous).

Please make Dua-e-Maghfirah for her, May Allah (SWT) grant her a place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. May Allah (SWT) give strength and sabr-e-jameel to the family of Brother Ayub Ahsan to bear this loss. 

May Allah (SWT) grant patience to the family and increase their Imaan, make them better Muslims, replace what they lost with something better! Aameen.

Election: TIC Board of Directors

Respected TIC member,

Asalaam-olaykum!

We are honored to serve on the TIC Election Commission (EC) to manage the election process of our next TIC Board of Directors (BOD).

BOD members serve for two years and the board is composed of ten members and the board president. For further details on the rolls and responsibilities of TIC BOD members please click on TIC Bylaws. 

We would like to highlight the director of women activities roll and encourage our women members to be nominated to the BOD.

TIC election commission (EC) is accepting nominations for

1. BOD member

2. BOD president. 

Please note that the community will vote for ten board members and vote for board president.

Nomination:

EC is accepting nomination for the BOD using the methods listed below: 

A Nomination request must have the indication “Member” or “President”.

1. Emailing ec@tracyislamicceter.org . Please include

    a. Member full name

    b. Member phone number.

2. Filling a nomination request form and placing the form in the nomination box at the Masjid.

A nominee is approved by the EC if the nominee is eligible to become a member in accordance with the TIC bylaws. Please see the bylaws under the link provided above.

Mainly EC will confirm that the nominee

a. Is a TIC member

b. Is willing to serve as a member on the TIC BOD.

Respected member, please confirm with the individuals you are nominating his/her willingness to server before submitting the nomination to EC.

The nomination process will be closed Sunday, Feb. 8th midnight. EC will not accept any nomination after this date.

EC will send election details during the week of Feb 9.

With reference to the announcement in the mid of December last year that soon we will be electing a new Board of Directors for Tracy Islamic Center (TIC).  

TIC Board of Trustees has formed 3-members "TIC Election Commission":

3. Br. Naseer Mohammad (From Mountain House area)

We appreciate these three brothers for their volunteer services and as a Muslim Community we are looking forward for your support to move the Tracy Islamic Center to next higher level.

TIC Election-- Board of Directors

Dear Respected Community Member,

Asalaam-olaykum,

Alhumdullilah Phase 1-A of our Masjid project is completed and the occupancy permit has been obtained. Now the next step is the election TIC Board of Directors (BOD) which will be held in the 1st quarter of 2015. Specific dates and procedures will be conveyed in subsequent e-mails.

As per TIC bylaws, Board of Directors (BOD) election were supposed to be held in the month of June, 2014 but because of the final construction stages of Phase 1A of our Masjid project, it was decided by TIC Board of Trustees (again as per TIC bylaws) to avoid the distraction of elections at that time.

Please refer to section # 5, 6 & 7 of TIC bylaws for the eligibility to participate in TIC BOD election. It should be noted that only members of TIC organization will be eligible to vote in this election. Per TIC bylaws, members of TIC are those individuals who reside in Tracy/Mountain House area and who have donated $240 or more during calendar year 2014.  

We encourage all local Muslim brothers and sisters to become members by Dec. 31st, 2014 and participate in this upcoming TIC BOD election.
