Religion is the Advice

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided

It was narrated that Tamim Ad-Dari said:

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Religion is sincerity (An-Nasihah).' They said: 'To whom, O Messenger of Allah?' he said: 'To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, to the leaders of the Muslims, and to their common folk."'  { sunan an- Nasa’i }.

  2. The main parts of Nasihah are sincerity and guiding to the straight path.

Thanksgiving

They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful

It was narrated that Mu'adh Ibn Jabal said:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took my hand and said: 'I love you, O Mu'adh!' I said: 'And I love you, O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).' Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Never forget to say in every prayer: Rabbi a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatik (My Lord, help me to remember You, give thanks to You and worship You well.)" { Sunan an-Nasa’i }
  1. Allah, the Almighty, ordered the messengers and the believers to perform Shukr.
  2. How can a believer become a grateful one?
  3. The absence of Shukr means the attendance of ingratitude.

The Masajid Rules and etiquette.

The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.

Salman (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "If a man takes a bath on Friday, (or) purifies himself as much as he can with Wudu', oils his hair, applies whatever perfume available in his house, sets forth for the mosque, does not separate two people (to make a seat for himself), performs Salat what is prescribed for him, remains silent when the Imam speaks, his sins between that Friday and the following Friday will be forgiven." Sahih al- Bukhari

Those will be given their reward twice for what they patiently endured and [because] they avert evil through good, and from what We have provided them they spend

Abu Burda b. Abi Musa narrated it to me on the authority of his father that verily the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: There are three (classes of persons) who would be given a double reward. One who is amongst the People of the Book and believed in his apostle and (lived) to see the time of Apostle Muhammad (ﷺ) and affirmed his faith in him and followed him and attested his truth, for him is the double reward; and ……….etc. { Sahih Muslim }.

Self Realization

It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“He who imitates any people (in their actions) is considered to be one of them.”

The Harvest of Sadaqah ( Charity )

Allah destroys interest and gives increase for charities. And Allah does not like every sinning disbeliever

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who gives in charity the value of a date which he legally earned, and Allah accepts only that which is pure, Allah accepts it with His Right Hand and fosters it for him, as one of you fosters his mare, until it becomes like a mountain." [Al- Bukhari and Muslim]

  1. Giving charity will multiply your rewards.
  2. It is a way to wipe out the believers sins.
  3. The believer will be shaded by his sadaqah on the Day of Judgement.
  4. The angels offer prayers on behalf of the Mutasaddiq ( charity giver ).

By the Lord of the Ka’bah, it is sparkling light, sweet basil waving in the breeze, a lofty palace, a flowing river, abundant ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and many fine garments, in a palace of eternal abode, in ease and luxury, in beautiful, strongly-built, lofty houses.’ They said: ‘We will strive hard for it, O Messenger of Allah.’ He said: ‘Say: In sha’ Allah (if Allah wills).’ Then he mentioned Jihad ( striving for the sake of Allah ) and encouraged them to engage in it.” Sunan Ibn Majah- Book of Zuhd.

The Strictness of our Hearts

The prophet (pbuh) stated that: “Beware! There is a piece of flesh in the body if it becomes good (reformed) the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoil the whole body gets spoil and that is the heart.”
The heart occupies a great and eminent position in Islam. It’s the storehouse for Tawheed and Ikhlas ( Islamic Monotheism and Sincerity).
Bakr bin Abdullah al-Muzani Said: “ Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, didn't precede the companions by much prayers or additional fasting only but a well established thing (faith) in his heart.

( 04 - 1441 ) Muharram 28th, 1441 / September 27th, 2019.

Imam al- Hasan al- Basri
Imam Abu Haneefah stated that : “ the study of righteous ones’ biographies is more preferred to us than the study of much more of Fiqh”. Hence, Fiqh is just a branch of knowledge that enables the scholar to debate but the study of  such biographies can illuminate the hearts to carry out good deeds. Imam al- Hasan al- Basri was the greatest scholar of al-Basra, Iraq. He raised up in the house of the prophet (pbuh) and nursed by the mother of the believers, Om Salamah, as well. Even though he did not see the prophet (pbuh) but he lived around some of the most honorable companions of the Messenger . Omar bin Khattab- may Allah be pleased with him- supplicated that: May Allah bestow upon him( Imam al-Hasan al- Basri) the proper understanding of the religion and grant him people’s love. Anas bin malik highly recommended people to address him their religious questions. 2. There will be plenty of road side parking around Veteran's park. Please do not park your vehicle in front of any driveway of neighborhood houses.
  3. Since we will be praying Eid in an open park, please allow ample time to park your car and make your way to the designated prayer area, shown on the map [Click for Map].
  4. Please be careful: Tracy Police will make extra rounds around the Veteran's park area and illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense.
  5. Please bring your prayer rug just in case.
  6. We will also appreciate that you please bring your own chair, if you need one.
