The Tracy Islamic Center has been informed by the Shariah Council of California that the new moon has being sighted at several locations in the United States and declares that Eid-ul-Fitr will be tomorrow Friday, September 10, 2010.
Fitra amount is $5.00/person:
Please make sure to contribute your Fitra before the Eid prayers Tracy Islamic center will have Fitra collection boxes available at the Veteran's park.
Eid-ul- Fitr prayer arrangement:
1. Eid prayer start time: 8:00 am sharp

“Eid-ul-Fitr Salat (Namaz) is a Wajib (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) salat of two raka'ah. This salat should be performed with Jama’at with extra six Takbirs, three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before ruku' in the second raka'ah. The Eid prayer is followed by the khutbah (sermon) and then a supplication (dua) asking for forgiveness, mercy and help for all living beings across the world.”
Special request to Community members:
1- There will be plenty of road side parking at both locations so please do not park your vehicle in front of any driveway of any neighborhood house.
2- Since we will be praying Eid in a open park, please allow ample time to park your car and make your way to the designated prayer area, shown on the map [Click for Map].
3-The grassy ground in the Veteran's park is expected to be a little wet. We need extra plastic tarps, if any community member has tarps to lend please let us, TIC BOD, know.
4- Since Friday will be a working day, we will not have food arrangements after the prayers.
5- Please be careful: Tracy Police will make rounds around the Veteran's park area and illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense.
