TIC Update January 2013

Dear Respected Community Member:

Asalaam-olaykum,



Alhumdullilah, after meeting all the technical requirements of the Masjid project and paying the necessary governmental fees, on Jan 25th, late Friday afternoon, San Joaquin County issued the Construction Permit for phase-1A of Masjidū Dārissalām project.

Now we are able to break the ground and start the construction process of this desperately needed Masjid for which Tracy Islamic Center has been waiting for the last 14 years to reach this milestone.

Masjid Site Preparation Work:

The remaining old structures also have been demolished and removed from the site last week. Now Masjid site grading work will start once the rainy season is over.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dan Schack & Company, Inc., the Architects & Engineers behind this project, particularly Dan Schack, Scott Schendel and Richard Paulson for providing their timely guidance and professionally handling all the technical aspects of this Masjid Project. As we go forward Dan Schack & Company will also manage the construction process.

We would also like to appreciate the work of Foundation Engineering and Consultants, Inc. and a special thank you to Engineer Liiban A. Affi for professionally managing the soil testing aspects of this Masjid project.

We also like to say Thank You to all those Brothers and Sisters who have directly or indirectly provided guidance and their continuous support on this Masjid project for the last 5 years.

TIC General Body Meeting:

TIC General Body Meeting’s place, date and time will be announced as soon as we get the confirmation on the reservation of the meeting hall.

Year 2012 Donation Receipts:

The prep work for Donation receipts for the 2012 Calendar year is at its final stages and they will be mailed out next week. If your donation receipt has not reached you by Feb. 10th, please contact TIC Finance department either by email at finance@tracyislamiccenter.org or phone  at 209-830-6286.

Once again we appreciate your continuous support for this Masjid Project. We are looking forward for your financial help to raise $750K in construction funds.

To do so we request you please invite your family member, friends and others you may know to become a part of this once in a lifetime opportunity to build a Masjid from the ground up. With your help, we can build our Masjid without interrupting the construction process and Insha-Allah pray in our Masjid by this year.
