Eid Mubarak! Eid-ul-Fitr Tomorrow Aug. 8th, 2013

Asalaam-olaykum,

 

Eid Mubarak! 

 

The new moon has been sighted locally in Stockton, CA and also globally in variuous countries, including Saudi Arabia, therefore the first of Shawwal and Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Tomorrow, Thursday August 8th, 2013.

 

Eid-ul- Fitr prayer arrangement:

 

1. Eid prayer start time: 8:00 AM (sharp)

2. Location: Veteran's Park

"Eid-ul-Fitr Salat (Namaz) is a Wajib (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) salat of two raka'ah. This salat should be performed with Jama’at with extra six Takbirs, three of them in the beginning of the first raka'ah and three of them just before ruku' in the second raka'ah. The Eid prayer is followed by the khutbah (sermon) and then a supplication (dua) asking for forgiveness, mercy and help for all living beings across the world.”

 

Fitra amount is $10.00/person:

 

Please make sure to contribute your Fitra before the Eid prayers.
Tracy Islamic center will have Fitra collection boxes available at the Veteran's park.

 

Please Note: On New Moon Night (Chand Raat), Traina School Hall will be available for the sisters only from 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

On that night Isha Prayers will be held at Tracy Islamic Center, 11299 West Larch Rd, Tracy, CA.

Special request to all Community Members:

 

1- There will be plenty of road side parking at Veteran's park so please do not park your vehicle in front of any driveway of any neighborhood house.

 

2- Since we will be praying Eid in an open park, please allow ample time to park your car and make your way to the designated prayer area, shown on the map [Click for Map].

 

3- Please be careful: Tracy Police will make rounds around the Veteran's park area and illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner's expense.

 

4- The grassy ground in the Veteran's park is expected to be a little wet. We need extra plastic tarps, if any community member has tarps to lend please bring them with you to the park.

 

5- We will appreciate that you please bring your own chair, if you need one.
